I am a music educator with a wide variety of experience.
I achieved my A.Mus.A in piano and also graduated from my Bachelor of Music education as a piano major. I have performed as an accompanist for singers and instrumentalists. I have also played piano in many different worship bands. I have been teaching piano for more than 30years.
I achieved my L.Mus.A in classical singing and spent two years studying at the Opera school at the Sydney Conservatorium of music. I performed solos in several oratorios with the most noted being the alto solos in Handles Messiah at the Sydney Town Hall. I also performed in several musicals. I have been teaching singing for about 30 years.
I have conducted school bands for over 30years. I am able to teach most band instruments up to an intermediate level.
I also love to compose. I wrote a musical as a teenager and a rock opera as the major project for my degree. Since then I just dabbled in writing mostly christian songs and sang them on many occasions over the years. Recently I have started writing piano solos that are programmatic in that they express an emotion or a picture.
