About Me
Hi my name is Carolyn. I am married to Peter and we have three children who are now amazing young adults. Our family also includes two beautiful shelties who bring us such joy.
I have always had a heart that is moved by music. I learnt to play the piano at a young age and loved singing. I went on to achieve Diplomas in piano and singing, completed a Bachelor of Music Education and became a music educator.
Jesus also touched my heart and I found myself drawn to worship ministries where I held several roles in churches. I completed a Bachelor of Theology.
I loved composing, as a young adult, but lost touch with this creativity as life became busy. Recently I have returned to this love. Our country property (Binbrook) has been a huge influence.
I hope my music and spiritual reflections can help you to slow down a little and focus on the things of God’s kingdom… on His Creation, His Love and on the fullness of life that He is offering you. God Bless.
Resources
Each piano solo or song has an accompanying story/reflection that tells the inspiration behind the music and helps to focus the listener. The scores are available if you are a musician.
About the recordings… The album, “In the Waiting” was recorded professionally on a grand piano at Underwood Studios at Wentworth Falls. The song was recorded in my lounge room on a digital Piano, (Kawai ES8) live, into Garage Band, where the vocals and piano balance was adjusted. The video files are a simple creative representation of the theme. They are not professional in any terms but are intended to help the listener focus.
About the scores… each piece of music has a sample of the score. If you are a pianist who is about Grade 5-6 then I think you would be able to play them. They are not technically difficult but require mature musicianship for the rubato and to play expressively with a depth of emotion and musicality. If you wish to obtain a full copy of the scores then please contact me.
