These 10 piano solos are descriptive in nature and connected by the theme – “In the Waiting”.

ALBUM AND BOOK LAUNCH – SATURDAY 30TH APRIL 7PM @ C3 CHURCH, HOWICK STREET BATHURST
Hopefully this album will inspire those who are finding themselves marking time in life, with a lack of direction. In this place we often feel frustrated and endure with our eyes set on the future and what it will bring. The encouragement of this album is to shift the focus to the present time and find value in the current circumstances. Times of ‘waiting’ can be as important as times of ‘doing’.
Full audios are also available for download and streaming from Apple, iTunes, Amazon and Spotify

1. In the Waiting
‘Waiting’ does not have to be a time of frustration, it can be a valuable place… to reassess our life journey, consider alternative pathways and make new choices. This piece of music takes the listener through various emotions associated with accepting what ‘the waiting’ may bring. [Duration 3:38]
2. In the Garden
There is so much variety to be found in the garden. Some plants are thriving and some are struggling. This piece describes the alluring scents, sweet tastes, different textures, intricate detail and soothing whispers to the soul. Relax and enjoy the experience. [Duration 6:09]
3. Although the Storm has Passed
This music describes the storms of life that may still be rumbling around you. Focus on becoming aware of their affects and take some steps to deal with them. [Duration 4:28]
4. By the Brook
Allow the music to take you on an imaginary stroll beside the peaceful brook where you can seek refreshment for your soul. [Duration 8:29]
5. Looking to Mount Haven
Mount Haven looms above the farmlands as if it is keeping a watchful eye upon them. It draws one to look in its direction simply because it is impossible to not! Standing quietly and alone and at peace… it personifies a place of refuge. [Duration 5:12]
6. With a Hint of Regret
A simple melody creates the space to identify regrets. They may be just the things that are holding you back from flourishing so best not to ignore them. [Duration 5:56]
7. Come Out and Play
This piece is an encouragement to rediscover your purpose and embrace who you are. The repetitive opening motif is calling you to “come out and play, come out and play”. [Duration 3:59]
8. In Your Absence
Isolation from loved ones can cause a heartache that goes deep into the soul. Allow the music to warmly soothe this pain as you gently celebrate these loving relationships. [Duration 7:06]
9. First Rains
This music depicts the first rains after a time of drought. As they fall they bring with them a whisper of change and a hope for the future. [Duration 3:51]
10. In Quiet Adoration
I am on top of the hill, looking out across the country side… something within me is moved – I am exhilarated. I stand there in awe of our world’s natural creation and I attribute it all to my God. [Duration 4:24]
Reflection Book
Each piece has a story to its creation, representative photographs, a christian reflection and some bible verses to meditate on. My hope is these can be a helpful tool for life groups, christian gatherings or for individual reflection. The cost of the book is $10 and the CD of the music is also available for $10. Please use the contact form if you wish to make a purchase.

here is what people are saying about the book and album…
Carolyn Miller’s album of piano solos In the Waiting is a sensitively composed and beautifully executed selection of ten original pieces that speak to a wide range of situations, emotions and desires. I could easily connect with them all, but particularly appreciated the title track In the Waiting, the calming, fluid By the Brook, the joyful Come Out and Play and the moving, worshipful In Quiet Adoration. As I listened, I sensed God’s presence in each one and would recommend their use in both personal reflection and in times of contemplation in small groups or church services. I also appreciated the accompanying book Carolyn has produced, which is both visually appealing in its layout and use of original photos and rich in wisdom via Carolyn’s own thoughtful reflections and references to relevant Scripture readings from modern translations. All up, a wonderful, God-inspired, creative effort that definitely deserves to be explored and experienced. (Jo-Anne Berthelsen, writer and speaker. BA, BTh, Dip Ed)
Ten reflections for in the waiting with album is excellent. The booklet is set out with introduction that refers to your property with lovely pictures, the refection is short and easy to understand and the bible verses are there ready to read. The music is amazing & nice to accompany with the reflection. Fantastic work! I was reminded to repent for my sins, I thank you for this message. All the best. (Kylie)
