Hopefully this album will inspire those who are finding themselves marking time in life, with a lack of direction. In this place we often feel frustrated and endure with our eyes set on the future and what it will bring. The encouragement of this album is to shift the focus to the present time and find value in the current circumstances. Times of ‘waiting’ can be as important as times of ‘doing’.

Each piece has a story to its creation, representative photographs, a christian reflection and some bible verses to meditate on. My hope is these can be a helpful tool for life groups, christian gatherings or for individual reflection. The cost of the book is $10 and the CD of the music is also available for $10. Carolyn Miller’s album of piano solos In the Waiting is a sensitively composed and beautifully executed selection of ten original pieces that speak to a wide range of situations, emotions and desires. I could easily connect with them all, but particularly appreciated the title track In the Waiting, the calming, fluid By the Brook, the joyful Come Out and Play and the moving, worshipful In Quiet Adoration. Ten reflections for in the waiting with album is excellent. The booklet is set out with introduction that refers to your property with lovely pictures, the refection is short and easy to understand and the bible verses are there ready to read.
