In Quiet Adoration

In Quiet Adoration Audio

The word adoration can be a confusing term. I avoided the use of this word for many years when referring to my love for God. It felt foreign to me. It seemed ‘outdated’ and difficult to define. Its definition talks about a strong love for and respect for, which usually involves some sort of outward act. Well, I preferred to say… a deep love and respect for my God rather than use the word ‘adoration’ and I would express this love and respect as ‘worship’.

As the years have gone by, though, I have come to understand adoration as all these things and more. I have encountered it at a deeper level so that now the definition feels more complete and has helped me use the word with more confidence. The deeper level I have encountered is ‘presence’.

Thankfulness and love and respect and worship in the presence of God then become adoration.

A deep level within me lifts when it encounters the presence of God and adoration erupts out of me like a quiet explosion. It is not reliant upon favourable circumstances. It exists on its own as adoration. It involves the moment when I realise that I’m not really worthy to be in the picture at all but that I am!

When I connect with my God – I don’t understand it, I cannot orchestrate it nor control it. Adoration is really beyond my definition but I have experienced it and it is real and it is purely for my God.

About the score… find a sample of the score below. If you are a pianist who is about Grade 4-5 then I think you would be able to play this. It is not technically difficult but requires mature musicianship to play expressively with a depth of emotion. If you wish to obtain a full copy of the piano score then please contact me and I can send you a PDF. There is no cost involved… I just like to know where the scores are going. Thanks
